Stoney Stanton Community Library
Like all community projects , the Stoney Stanton Community Library will rely heavily on the support of volunteers and the community as a whole in order for it to remain open. There are lots of ways in which you can help us keep this valuable resource open in the village.
Join the Management Committee
The Management Committee for the library meet on the first Tuesday of every month and are currently engaged in the development of the Business Plan for the Community Library.
Become a Volunteer
The library will not open without the support of volunteers who are happy to help in the library. There will be various roles people can undertake, for example, running specific sessions (e.g. Wriggly Readers, Internet Taster Sessions etc), delivering books to housebound library users, as well as working as a volunteer librarian. A complete list of required roles will be made available when decided, but even if you don't see a role for you, come and talk to us about how you can help us.
Be a Friend of Stoney Stanton Library
Friends of Stoney Stanton Library will be responsible for fundraising activities to support the maintenance and running of the Stoney Stanton Library. This could involve sharing information about library activities or even getting involved as a volunteer too. The work of this group will be vital in keeping the library open.
Join the Library
If you don't have time to volunteer why not become a Library User and make use of the facilities the community library has to offer? The more that people use the facility, the more valuable the library will become.
